My waterfall friend
shares the view
inside of me. We have
fallen together enough.

Each drop dwells in
both of us. Not two bodies
and two souls, but one of
each, indissoluble.

That’s how our water looks
carefully blended and
spread, as it is just one
stream from on top.

Some lovers
dance beyond death,
because they met and
fell in love at the first dance.

My body’s eyes can fill
the falls with a hint
of salt. Both of our
tongues lick at the taste.

Nothing practical works
in this view, so my logic
is waterfall poetry logic.
It’s misty, safe, nothing drowns.

Stand near the roar
and listen to the lonely pools
fill with an infinite, joyful trickle–
the only path known.

The light coming off that waterfall is so alluring. The picture and the words play beautifully together!
