Exceptions

Nothing keeps me awake
more than the regular moon
passing.

My head enjoys filling
itself with an invisible
harmony that I wait all
day to hear.

There will be some
exceptions, though
I am unable to
guess what brings them.

Worry hardly stirs me,
but exciting thoughts
pummel my calm.

I know when I am visited
by an unknowable
light wind that blows
restfully.
