Five-Pointed Face

her five-pointed face stared at
me, almost begging to not step on her.
i would carefully go around her
out of a humble longing
for such fresh nature.

what gravity can do to the young
is only exacerbated in the elderly.
no lipstick or earthy powders can
revive this fading beauty, but in

the liquid amber,
i see more like her about to drop.
